I had to pay $25k to learn this information. But we have a family trust that owns the holding company for complete anonymity. We also have a subsidiary LLC that hold all of our family vehicles, one for our family home, and separate ones for our fix and flips, rentals, and notes. This was our first year running K-1s and taking bonus depreciation for 0 tax. Throw in a whole life policy and a CTR doing affordable housing and we will never pay tax again. You know your stuff, keep at it.

I started a holding company about 2 months ago. I’m 20 years old. Currently forming the first subsidiary and working on partnering a second subsidiary. I jumped in head first to this and learned quite a bit but there is still more to learn. Would you’re channel be able to create a guide specifically on the quarterly and annual tax requirements and how it would work for holding companies and it’s subsidiaries that may be partnerships? This would answer many tax questions that other people without holding companies would love to hear.

I have an s-Corp for one business and 2 Llc’s for my property co so far. I’m in Indiana and we are allowed master / umbrella Llc’s so I will most likely take advantage of that this year or early 2021. I’m looking at 3 property deals right now so it depends on how that goes. I just formed the second llc to own whichever property I end up with. One would be one property with 7 doors (4 residential and 3 commercial) and the other would be 36 condos with 72 doors (27 units would have to be developed).

Great content. In the process of starting several LLCs, which are directed at residential/commercial properties. Exterior cleaning services, seal coating & drive way sealing, paving, etc. Have been thinking of another serperate LLC to do manage and consolidate the other LLCs. keeping any and all assets and liabilities seperate.

Oh my gosh this video was right on time! But I definitely need more info... I am in the process of starting an Etsy shop as well as I am a reseller... I was really trying to find the best way I should go about growing these companies but at the same time wondering if I should set up some type of umbrella company or just keep the businesses completely separate?... I'm so confused to this major step that it is holding me up from moving forward... But here's a question maybe you can answer as well, could I legally start the 2 companies individually now and then later on down the road go and form the holding/umbrella company? So I have an LLC and a bunch of questions pertaining to this subject. Maybe/I'm hoping you can do a follow up video with the answers to these questions: Does a holding company need to own the company in order to hold that (would be child) company's assets? Ideally I'd like to form a holding company to protect just the assets of another company without giving away any ownership of the LLC. That way if the company (LLC) gets sued and loses, the assets will still be protected because they will be property of the holding company.. So again, the question is, can a holding company do this without owning any parts of the company that needs asset protection? And if a holding company can not do this without ownership, I am correct to assume that assets of the child company will still be protected in the exact described way? Also how do assets get moved from the company (LLC) to the holding company's llc? Basically I would like my holding company to only conduct business with the company/companies whose assets it's protecting.. with a plan to get company 1's assets over to holding company's (company 2's) and company 1 then rent from company 2 to use these assets. And lastly (because it's a bit off topic and a bit specific but..) Are copyrights to art used in the production of merchandise considered to be assets of a company?
