I love your videos. I love how you present them in such a calm and at least “seemingly “ lol, genuine way. I think watchtower actually breeds liars. Because of all their restrictions and believes, there are so many seemingly good witnesses living double lives (so therefore a life of lying). And then when you are out, you still have to resort to lying to keep some kind of relationship with your family. I remember I had to do this to be able to have some kind of relationship with my sisters. I was in a long term “unmarried” relationship with my partner and they totally shunned me. Since I wanted for them to treat me like family again, I just told them that we finally got married and were no longer living in sin. So all of a sudden they only soft shunned me after that but at least they talked to me every so often. So yeah, basically their own rules make people resort to lying.

As a child I lied a few times in order to avoid being kicked and punched and bounced off walls for falsely perceived infringements. Those lies are still with me as they dug in to my soul. I don't know how Elders can keep silent about their secret guidebook. Silence is a lie.

I recall a conversation between a Christian and a Watchtower-follower many years ago; In response to a continual assertion that the society has "The Truth", the Christian, remembering that Watchtower had used a scripture from Romans for the title of one of their publications, said "Let God be true, and every man a liar". At that, the Org member announced angrily "I'm not going to stay here and be called a liar." and marched away.

In their own mind they're not lying. They're just withholding truthful information from those not entitled to it. They have a 2 volume Bible "encyclopedia" called "Insight on the Scriptures". In it it defines lying as withholding truthful information from those entitled to it. That "entitled" caveat gives them a license to deceive the public if they deem it a necessary tactic to avoid bringing embarrassment or reproach on their organization.

When I was studying they never told me about disfellowshipping I had to find out online and everybody said the same thing about there family disowning them it's quiet sad. And so much other stuff like child sex abuse I even told the elder he admitted to it that it was true some people are just sick. I never got baptized I only studied for a year and when I left those people look at you like you made the worst decision ever but infact I made the best decision ever by not associating with those narcissistic people..

I watched a video on the "Irregular pioneer channel" recently, and he read the Watchtower's definition of a "lie" from the Insight book: It's withholding the truth from someone who is entitled to the truth. I thought that was absolutely astounding. The Society just redefined the word to suit themselves. Because a lie is simply when you say something that you know not to be true. That's all. To be sure, some lies can be justified, some lies can be harmless, some lies can be compassionate - but they are still lies! But because the JWs are so intent on how they never lie, they had to redefine the word. And of course it's the Society who gets to decide who is entitled to knowing the truth...

I remember jw's that preached at houses where muslim minorities lived that when asked if they believe in Mohammed they would answer: we believe in all gods prophets. It's so manipulative. They know well what the person asks and means and then to try answer in a way you say yes when you mean no is dishonest imo. I disliked these methods a lot. The people using these tricks always seemed so proud of them selfs for being 'smart'.

@@charlesmorris6476 Watchtower even distorts the sense of the scripture you mentioned with their slogan "Love never fails", because one of their claims is that there is great love among the Society members, while in fact a shallow and superficial sort of brittle, very conditional "love" is what the Org devotees are expected to conform to. When one lie is allowed, others follow.

LOL, that was strange! I liked it! I was brought up JW and my generation was taught that deception was worse than a lie. We were taught to not lie. My exhusband came in a as a teen, and he beat around the bush over simple questions. He enjoy practicing deception but it was so annoying. It is all so strange how families are so different in the organization. Some would get in big trouble for lying yet others practice the art of deception and lying. Then there is that dam WT that oks the entire lying to people. Wow! Thanks for your story, LOL so cute!

Phil I was a liver I.T.U. nurse. Have you been listening to any of the Italian doctors? Just wondering if you're psyching yourself up to help manage the crises? It's strange being a JW nurse in the midst of tragedy...it sure helps you cope at the time(not so sure it's as great for your patients)but I feel like waking up I've started grieving and have decades of grief bottled up inside, you know? I think that's true for all JWs but due to the nature of their work it can be especially traumatic for nurses. It's true to say given the right situation (mainly service) lies just trip off the tongue of most JWs, it's actually quite shocking!

Delaying information of something like a death isn't necessarily lying? It's an inner sacrifice in order to wait until the recipient of the news is in the most supportive environment? Personally, were I the recipient I'd appreciate a delay of the news until I was in the safest and most loving environment.

Im an xjw Im not an nurse but do EEG and sleep studies. I have worked in ICU ER to see if there is brain activity. I think we all lie at times to let the patient heal if possible to let them have some chance of healing before emotional trauma over takes them. I think she knew her son passed she needed to hear the words. We do the best we can under the circumstance its not perfect if we lie were human not perfect we do the best we can under the cicimstances as you did with all the hospital politics on top just how I see it

To quote the end passages in Revelation “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. There's a difference between confidentiality and secrecy though. The Watchtower Corporation practice secrecy. This is seen in the origins of the Organization, their hidden affiliations, and activities they are involved in that they hope will go unnoticed.

Jesus mentioned persons being fearful of coming to the light for fear that their works might be reproved as wicked. This is most often the motive behind confidentiality. If "God's organization" is operating in a truly righteous and godly way they would have no reason to have confidential procedures and policies. The existence of confidentiality reveals an awareness on the part of the leadership that some of their procedures and policees are unethical and would stumble many into leaving the org if they found out about it.

Was there a definitive point planned here? Was this just a moment of clarity to help you work out the trauma of your work load? Jehovah's Witnesses are humans. They like you, me, even atheists have many human interactions Some positive in drawing you closer to God. While other associations try to remove us from his light. I've seen bad things come from those who refused acknowledge their own spiritual imperfections . My advice to all is to keep struggling to overcome the worlds offerings. A task we pray for strength and courage to make it happen on a daily basis. Are Jehovahs Witnesses liars? Some of all people will never see the light.

Jehovah's witnesses care not if you call them lairs or a cult. The fact is Jehovah is the ultimate Judge and blaspheming against his word will not be taken lightly. We all want everyone to be saved. I truly hope that you all know that men are flesh and are born in sin, therefore, to stop worshiping Jehovah because of a personal experience with a witness is not wise my friends. God said to examine the scriptures daily, which will imply that we are to examine the scriptures for ourselves, and pray to God for understanding and wisdom. Jesus Christ himself prayed to his Father.

Jehovah’s witnesses followed care when someone dies. They know that all life is sacred to go, so your attitude at the time towards this son who had died in an accident is the problem, you weren’t being a true loving Christian in not caring. Your not telling his mother that he had died wasn’t a lie, but under the circumstances you were being discreet and thoughtful as you didn’t feel it was the best time to tell her. Don’t put it that Jehovah’s witnesses aren’t honest.
