Can hear the Van halen influence in his playing, not what it used to be but not bad, too many effects, not even close to don dokken on vocals but good for what it is.

Not a Lynch fan , However, I noticed he played a wrong chord (yes by accident) (one of his usual go to chords when riffing) and it worked well. It was right after the first vocal line. Since most of his songs sound very similar, He may have a new song right there.

I'm a Lynch fan since I was 14 in 1983 but this solo doesn't sound anything like the album version. I once heard someone say that he pretty much wings his studio solos with a tiny bit of structure which makes sense because I can honestly say over the years even seeing him live in a small club in the 90s, he never replicates a solo. I mean even EVH was the same but he kept to the structure of his solos live.
@noaveragejoe5 ай бұрын
He mixes it up. Sometimes he will play solos very close to the album version but most of the time, they are quite different. This type of improv is almost gone from music. I personally think it's pretty cool. Sometimes it comes out great like this and other times it's a mess, but it's rock and roll!
@Professional-fh1ow5 ай бұрын
I agree a little bit. I go to a live show because I liked the band and their recorded songs. So I'm looking for solos, vocals, drum and bass parts that stick to the album song I lked. I don't mind a little improv but for instance if there's a SUPER COOL riff or lead part I want to see and hear they can replicate it live. Thats just me.@@noaveragejoe

I don't know how that band stayed locked in during that solo. George is amazing but when he's off and overly experimental with his choice of notes and timing, it can be a total mess. This, was a total mess. They kept him in there though..

Love Dokken and Lynch but this guy doesn't seem to fit for singing Dokken.No where close to Don. He's like singing flat.Grungy not metal. Just my take. Maybe he'd be ok in another band and style? Not doing justice for Dokken. George of coarse is always on fire!!
