Hi Lynden. Really struggle on the last phrase to get a consistent sound on the low B to E,F# back to low B. It comes out better if I don’t tongue the notes but when I tongue it’s hard to blow the last low B. Is this a common thing. I usually consider myself consistent with all notes but this little group caught me out!!😩thanks 🙏🏻😁

If I keep the low B key down it works better.

Hi Gary, yes that’s quite common. Try a different reed, make sure your MP and reed is set up correctly, make sure that your sax has been checked and adjusted and isn’t leaking, try getting your bottom lip out more, and spend more time playing long low notes. Without hearing or seeing it’s difficult to say why you’re having this issue but something in my suggestions usually helps solve this issue 👍👍🤝🤝🎷🎷

My Sax did fall from its stand a couple of months ago and the side E key was bent slightly as it sticks out the most. The Sax did not play the same afterwards. I gently pulled it back into line and thought I had cured the problem. Might not be quite right still. My reed and mouthpiece are ok Im sure as I did swap them around. May have a tech look it over. Thanks for your reply and the great advice! 🙏🙏😊

Linden, how did you arrive at Cm7 or rather the Cm scale, did the app state the key?, I get how you arrived at the Cm7 in Dorian PS- tried to buy you a coffee but none of my cards were accepted, Check that, kept telling me the cards were expired, which they're not.
