In short, Liberalism reached its peak in the 1960s. Johnson's Great Society established things like Medicare (medical insurance for people over 65), Medicaid (Medical insurance for people in poverty conditions), and abolished Immigration quotas. The Warren Court, the Supreme Court under Earl Warren, had such cases as: -1962 Engel v Vitale (prayer banned in schools) -1962 Baker v Carr (redistricting made legal) -1963 Gideon v Wainwright (right to an attorney established) -1965 Griswald v Connecticut (right to access Birth control established).
