Thank you. I'm a cellist who picked up an instrument (again) at age 59. I've been at it for four years. I find I do not have the dexterity I had as a child, so it's more difficult for me to create a truly smooth sound. Although I read music well, I joke with my fellow cellists that it's not sight reading but sight playing that's the problem. It's all about better mechanics for me. I appreciate your pedagogy.

I picked up the cello at age 59 as well I played the violin for 20 years then had a family an now I have time to dedicate to my cello. I agree with you where we don't have the dexterity as we did as a child I realized that right from the start lol Good luck an keep practicing because Practice makes Permanant!!!

How is your bow arm so strong??? You get such a thick sound... Is it because everything is so relaxed?
