Richest “conversación”, but Homi is clearly not thinking from the epistemologies of the South. The host’s opening question remained unanswered since Homi bears English as his first OFFICIAL foreign language due to his high-cast origin: Parsi. Ghandi would have said otherwise. I do admire Prof Bhabha but his postcolonial view (as regards English) does not view him in the way it views us, in our colonial south. The dialectalized perspective is far from our classrooms and pedagogical approaches in our “profesorados” at university and the like. Thanks for such enriching talk!!!
