Fascinating and fantabulous interviewer and interviewee. Abraham was to be a blessing and he was 75 when God called him. All things are possible with God. Me n my husband are 33 yrs and we have built a mansion at Katani, retirement house It's possible to build a house. It's all about setting up priorities right, from campus we have worked for one employer and used the package to start a biz and have been working as a team. Lyn kindly find me I think we can impact people's lives especially youths. Yes its possible it's all about the input, availability of resources and very importantly Attitude.

Lynn, 😅😂😀😃🤣😂🤣 that's my age bracket too. We call it the year of immense wisdom and absolute peace. My peace is always between95& 98% any day and every day. There is nothing so fulfilling than reaching 60. It is like it is the paradigm shift in matters fulfilment in my view because that is what I am feeling right now. However, you can only enjoy that 60s mental wellness if you prepared for it in the first place as the lady is clearly putting it. Children here, grandchildren there and self-love here, the joy is endless. There is no time in life I have ever found peace like at this age I am now. Retired, enjoying organic farming and talking to my God every step of the way as He answers each prayer I ask Him for. It can't be any better Lynn. Mmmmmmmh, I wish you guys knew what you are missing. Lynn, 60s is the beginning of real life story. I resonate with your guest 100% as I affirm her. I urge all of you to embrace positivity, live a life of purpose, be honest to yourself and subscribe to healthy lifestyle. Avoid processed foods at all costs and be intentional in loving yourself more than loving others. Self-care is so critical in your mental wellness if you wish to reach 60 and experience the fun we are enjoying now. It is doable. "Not all sweet foods are sweet to your 60s". I rest my case.

Christine, I learnt that: In the twilight of our years, a journey unfolds, Life after sixty, a story to be told. Years of toil and labor, we've weathered the storm, Now, a canvas of joy, in the golden-warm. Retiring from the grind, a sweet release, To savor the moments, to find inner peace. The wisdom of ages, like a fine wine, Life after sixty, a chapter divine. No longer confined by the daily grind, Freedom whispers softly, a gentle wind. The weight of responsibilities, now laid to rest, A second chance at living, our very best. Rediscovering passions, once put aside, Dancing with dreams, on this joyous ride. Hobbies once forgotten, now take the stage, Life's second act, scripted on a wiser page. Gardens of leisure, where time gently sways, Blossoms of friendships, in the sunset's blaze. Traveling the world, with a heart so light, Life after sixty, an exquisite flight. Time may have etched lines on our face, But joy has sculpted a masterpiece in its grace. Silver strands glisten, like threads of the moon, In the symphony of life, we find our tune. Grandchildren's laughter, like melodies sweet, Generations entwined, in a dance complete. Legacy woven, in the fabric of time, Life after sixty, a reason to rhyme. Optimized by experience, refined by years, A vintage spirit, conquering fears. Each day a canvas, painted in hues, Life after sixty, a gift we choose. So, let's embrace the journey, with hearts so light, Life's greatest adventure, in the fading light. After the years of toil, the sun still shines, Life after sixty, where joy intertwines.

Great interview. You are only as old as you feel, in body and mind. We were brought up to believe that you work, retire and head back to ushago. That is sooo old. Many people I know that have retired are like this wonderful lady. They are learning new things. And in this day and age, technology is the great equalizer. I am a 60 year old man and can do things that many 20 year olds cannot. For example, I can do 50 push ups without breaking a sweat. I can run faster than many 20year olds because they spend most of their time on the couch going through their phones and they eat junk food. In short, retirement should be the beginning of a new and even better life than you had before. If you plan well, you build or buy a house, fully paid for by 60 yrs old. You have retirement savings that you can live off comfortably. Anything you do after sixty should be the icing on the cake. You can now enjoy life to the fullest. Think about it, would you rather enjoy life when you are young and live miserably when you are older or vice versa? What I have learnt in my life is that what you do in your 20's and 30's will determine how you live in your 50's and 60's. Life is not a dress rehearsal. Jipange! The earlier you start the better.

Hi Lynn, I came across your show "Finding Joy in my 60's..." and really was just encouraged by your guest. I too am in my 60's and decided to start a CHRYTV TV Channel primarily for ROKU and android tv. I am in Toronto, Canada. I am on Facebook and KZbin also. Surprisingly, (confession) ... I probably came across your setup and thought I could start a podcast similar to yours --. As I progress with the channel I probably may have similar topics to yours. Keep doing the good job you are doing. I only wished I had started when I was much younger. God bless you.

Go retirees!!!. Keep looking good. I am one of them. For daughters-in-law, my children think I love them more than my own children. I feel blessed to have them in my family. Diversity/boundaries in families is important

Christine, you reminded me of the power of choosing a positive mentality and its life benefits. Thank you, though I knew that their could be others with the same mentality, it has been a pleasure to listen to your experience. I also learned swimming and cycling at a late age which has improved my physical health immensely. I was also advised to start weight liftning which I do sometimes. I am turning 60 in a couple of months and I am looking forward to it. This year is my beginning, I have planned a lot of activities including traveling to many parts of the world. Two plane tickets are already booked and I am researching the others. I will also do a couple of university courses just for fun.
