Lynn this story is truly sad. You have done due diligence here. George, I don't know who you are, but the first part about the bomb blast is one I can relate. I pray that you find the answers you seek. Death is so final. May God comfort you. The good part is that you know The Lord. He will see you through this too

Thank you George for highlighting and summarising life in the UK so well in such few words! Our families back home have too much expectations for us and have no idea how life is in the UK! George, his lovely wife Catherine and their children are the most amazing family I know! Thank you for being a voice for your brother. I pray that someone somewhere shades light to what really happened to him.🙏

I almost thought George was talking about Canada. It isn't different over here. When many of us moved from Jamaica to Canada it was more than a culture shock. You won't get the same professional job you had in your country of birth unless you've had the opportunity to be taken under the wings of some of your own people already living in the diaspora and, who are already established in the same profession. You'll have to start all over again, working from the bottom up. The good thing however is that you'll get there eventually after you have been established. There are usually two options: you can either work for someone thereafter or, start your own business.

I am a Nigerian who now resides in the States with my children. But Lynn Ngugi documentaries is impactful and very inspiring. I now understand what my children have been going through in this country. I know that the mentality of money growing up in trees abroad is a misconception. And the sacrifice of sending money home to support our family should not be taken for granted. My deepest condolences to Mr George and his loving family. The Lord's promise of Resurrection is a great Hope to Belivers. Lynn, thank you immensely for being a great presenter, friend and daughter. You have made me a Kenyan! For you have spoken the deep concerns of our common African culture and history to the world. Mental issues are real and should be handled by sensitive human beings.

I can relate, work place pressure is so bad, I had it few months ago, no off days, just half day! The bosses were unprofessional, gossip was order of the day, from the directors to collegues! It was horrible, if you are not careful it will drive you nuts and to the grave, im glad i came out alive, will never go and work in that place anymore even though they expect me to go work with them, Im just eagerly waiting for their call so i can put them in their place.

Steve was my classmate in JKUAT and roommate too . Too sad to lose him at a tender age . From the story most of the pressure was from work .its real . May he rest in peace . For employers, look at the welfare of the workers. remuneration may not be everything .work life balance is very important . please let people enjoy working and going back to their families with less pressure .

Can't wait to listen to this one, it was so sad! My friend's son was an intern in this organization, he was so depressed, used to work everyday even Sundays. That place is actully a toxic work environment and many staff are unhappy, globally not just in Kenya. This was so painful to watch, I pray one day the family will have closure.

George and the late Steve are my cousins. Steve's death issue is one that I always say; "I don't know" is the plausible answer to anyone asking questions. Be that as it may, I still admire his way of handling issues and having his way with almost everything, even in death. Steve was an intelligent chap by any other definition.

Besides of social media rumours, now is his brother,it could be great if the wife can be given a chance to speak of his husband last moments behaviours since she was closest at that time, to my view this guy needed just a push to make his decision of leaving the job,I mean like from the wife or brother,I remember I was facing the same problem, doing my job so passionately to make the company keep going and one day I realized am developing panic attacks every time I was at work, but when I shared with my mum , she sensed danger, she advised me to resign asap and take break, guess what? After my resignation that night I had my best sleep and my peace of mind was restored..

We women are also not equipped ... My best friend died by suicide at the age of 29 in Jan this year, leaving behind 2 young sons (& an abusive husband & toxic inlaws). I also wonder what I could've said differently... The truth is they decided to end their lives & they had probably decided for some time, they just didn't tell us. Sometimes I'm angry she did this to her family & sometimes I'm so hurt & sad she went through so much pain alone. & yes people are not sensitive. The harsh things people said while this was still fresh 💔 thank you for sharing the story Sir. May God comfort the family xx

Let me leave my comment here. I once worked in a property mgt company I almost lost my mind everyday I would end up worked out ,and pass out when I just get home and will wake up the next morning. Some jobs especially where your mind is totally getting exhausted can easily make you mentally unstable.I just woke up one day and I didn't even issue my resignation I said am not gonna report to work coz the workload is killing me,I better earn just enough to survive rather than earn more and end up mentally ill.I left that work the manager kept begging me to go since I was among the best perfect workers, they even wanted to add my pay but I said no.I choose my peace ✌️ than money .I learned to say no to toxic work environments .I quit without apologies and even don't care about the pay. Let's learn to say no where our minds are extremely exhausted..Its hard to go back to normal once the mental state deteriorates. You start sinking.May Steve rest in perfect peace. And may those who had a hand in death never find peace . Justice will prevail
