I've watched a lot of CDT videos (I'm hoping for a thru-hike...someday, when my kids are on their own) even though this is the first of yours I've watched, I think it might be my favorite so far!

The animals are amazing! Was this all filmed on a cell phone?

Thanks! I'm enjoying reliving my journey by making these videos. I'm happy to say I have some awesome footage all the way through the end.

It was all filmed on a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, up until Rawlins WY where my phone died and was replaced with an S23 Ultra for the rest of the trip. The video quality improves there as a result too.

Have you tried injinji liner socks under the darn tough socks to prevent blisters? For some people this works.

I haven't, but have some friends that swear by them. I was a full time boot fitter for a few years and am usually very good at choosing footwear that works for me. I thought they were being caused by the sand in my shoes but it turned out that it was actually from my Superfeet inserts being too worn out when I started my trip. I started my trip with the inserts I'd been wearing every day for years and turned out that the worn toe groves were rubbing in-between my toes and ball of my foot. I bought some new ones in Grant NM and didn't get a single blister afterwards.
