The sound, the heart and soul of Lynyrd Skynyrd, died on that plane October 20, 1977. Some great southern rockers have teamed up with the survivors and former members, to keep LS’s music on the airwaves. I don’t listen to their music or their covers of the originals.

I hope I don't piss anyone off, but.. No heart, no soul, no feel. I grew up in the backwoods and swamps of Florida in the 1970s listening to Skynyrd. This band is a faded echo at best. These guys have no connections to the music. They haven't lived the life to give it the edge like original members did. Johnny Van Zant lost his connection years ago and in my opinion simply cannot keep the legacy going anymore. I now live close to Knoxville and didn't even make the effort to go see them.
