One of the best and most overlooked Skynyrd songs. Some of Ronnie's best singing and lyrics, and Gary and Allen sounding amazing on the guitars just as they always did... there will never be another band as great as Skynyrd again.

The boy's in 1987 & 1988 when they first came back 10 years since the plane went down. They did phenomenal. I thought it would sound fake kinda but they blew the roof off. Their father Lacy VanZant came out and said y'all know my boys Ronnie Donnie and Johnie well I'm their daddy Lacy...and I was 16 with my highschool girlfriend and a few years later we had our first child ..a baby girl and we named her LACEY....it was something we decided together and that was that. We just added an E to make it a girls spelling because it's both a man and a womans name. My daughter turns 30 st Patrick's day and she named her daughter Indi after indigo the name of a marijuana strain...lol I thought it was pretty cool and the girl I married ( her moms') name is Flower and her sisters name is Sunshine... Name on their birth certificates. I think I married the right girl although we separated 20+ years ago

Almost 7 minutes long and worth every second. Skynyrd never wasted a single second of the listener's time. Everything that was there was meant to be there. Not a single self indulgent song in the whole catalog. That's an accomplishment in and of itself.

I saw them on Apr 20, 1974, 5 days after they released Second Helping with this song on it in St. Louis. Jo Jo Gunne opened the show. Then The Marshall Tucker Band was up for a great set including their new album A New Life, and finally, Skynyrd played a ton of Pronounced/2nd Helping LPs to close the show. It was one of the best shows I've seen in my lifetime. On a sadder note, I was in the crowd watching The Charlie Daniels Band play in St. Louis Oct 20th 1977, the night of Skynyrd's plane crash. Charlie said he was notified before they went on stage and the band asked him what they should do. He said he told them that they were going to go out and put on a show that would make the Skynyrd boys proud. I can vouch for them, they played their asses off for their brothers in music that sad night.

And again in 88 on the 10 years after tour in Roanoke Virginia . If you are older enough to know what I am talking about then you can relate with me . I know artimus Pyle was living in Floyd Virginia at one time I guess Artemis is still alive.

Skynyrd is in my blood and soul.. Been singing Skynyrd since 11 years old. I Love them and was so devastated when the tragedy happened. This is Real story, I just bought Street Survivors from our local record store The Record Theater here in the Cleveland area and rode my bike home and could not wait to tear it open and listen to it. I was halfway through the album when Kid Leo from WMMS Radio in Cleveland broke the news about the plane crash. I was actually listening at the time, I had the album cover in my hands and was browsing through it. And yes, the album had the flames on it which was removed on further presses and sales due to its Irony . I will forever be scarred and NEVER forget that tragic day. God bless Lynyrd Skynyrd and God bless the founding members that died,.. Free Bird is flying in our hearts and souls. Love Always. Singer songwriter, Nicky Cristino Cleveland Ohio...I have tribute songs on my KZbin channel......

Southern slow bluesy rock at it's finest, for your listening pleasure, by the one and only Lynyrd Skynyrd! Indeed, there will never be another. RIP y'all, you're not forgotten, and are sorely fuckin' missed!

I listened to this for the first time in a long time. I cried my eyes out. My wife passed away 3 years ago. Great song.

LONG LIVE THE KINGS, THEY ARE WITHOUT A SINGLE DOUBT MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME, PLUS I AM BORN AND RAISED IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA SO I MAY BE A LITTLE PARTIAL TO THEM FOR THAT REASON AS WELL BUT MOSTLY BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL, EACH AND EVERYONE, BAD FREAKING ASS MUSICIANS AND COULD BEAT YOUR ASS IF NEEDED... THATS REAL SOUTHERN ROCK N ROLL
