@@Confederate127 Now that I've thought about it long and hard, the Confederate flag represented the LOSERS of the civil war and everything they stood for. Correct? But your allegiances confuse me. What exactly are you saying? Are you a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan? They sang about getting rid of guns in Saturday Night Special. They "boo, boo, booed" the governor of Alabama, George Wallace. My friend, Lynyrd Skynyrd were Democrats and liberals... all the pot smoking way!! Lol.

I have no allegiance to that flag, just pointing out a time when things weren’t so politically correct. A lot of people died under that banner, it was only ever carried into battle. Enjoy your weed.

And by the way you should get your facts together the first guy to kick into the solo was Gary Rossington was one of the few that survived the plane crash,,, recently died. Sadly Skynyrd is now a cover band. The youngins seeing them live in concerts now this summer or future have no idea; no Ronnie Van Zant(writer singer of all songs) no Billy Powell no Allen Collins no Rossington,no Steve or Cassie Gaines who died in the plane crash.... even Ed King who wrote Sweet Home Alabama and several other songs died few years ago. What a rare find here. This is probably the best performance of this song Skynyrd ever gave. And Steve Gaines wasn't even in the band yet! It is such a damn shame that plane went down, because at the time, no other band in the world could touch them. Skynyrd was so much better than everybody else it's not even fair.

You have to watch this. Never understood why the record company removed this song to get “One more from the Road” to fit on one CD, but it was on the vinyl release. Just an awesome jam. We'd start off with Guitar Boogie by Arthur Smith and somehow it would always morph into T for Texas and we tried to sound as close as we could get to the live version recorded in the Fox Theater in Atlanta ,Georgia. When that plane crashed, it took out one of the finest Southern Rock and Roll Bands that ever hit the stage. Gary's guitar tone came from his love of Paul Kossof (guitarist in Free), both loved using long sustained notes. Ronnie was also a big fan of Free's vocalist, Paul Rodgers.

Skynyrd and a couple of The Outlaws. Outlaws must have opened. You know that party lasted all night! In Jan. of 76' I saw Skynyrd in Nashville. The bottom of Ronnie"s T-shirt says Nashville (easy to see at the beginning). Wish I could make out the top. I sure as hell miss these guys. I miss the 70s'. Good times. peace...

Damn I would have loved to have been behind Ronnie on stage... Most every lead singer I’ve ever worked with could take lessons from him....I don’t think they (singers) realize what all they could learn from an ol Florida country boy singer. But the guy was sheer genius... Gary pretty damn good too... never heard him miss a note. Even though he’s pissed me off plenty, gotta give the man props.. Allen was an innocent soul and my favorite guitarist... He was tormented in ways he couldn’t cope, god rest his soul... Ed was just Ridiculously good, at 17 was playing lead for a touring group.... His sense of time and playing on the off beat was the best..... Steve gains was just a natural born rock and roll fantasy... full package that I’m sure would have went on to front his own group had he lived.....

Awesome with Hughie & Billy : The band was definitely feeling the loss of Ed King leaving & needed the 3rd guitar which Steve Gaines would eventually provide. Gary & Allen were keeping it tight & giving it the Skynyrd vibe.
