This was absolutely stunning. Thank you, and also for the samples! I'm seeing this Yamaha 4track for the first time. Could you tell why some people are saying that's better than any TASCAM? Do you agree with this?

Thanks! I wouldn’t say it’s inherently “better” than the Tascams, but you can find them much cheaper than a Tascam from time to time. Just be careful, because a lot of them on eBay are in Japan and will cost you more in customs…. unless you’re in Japan, then go for it! Ha

I think I found one specialist who is restoring the old tape machines, 4-tracks included, and he's also buying the units or parts himself, so it will be one invoice for everything for me. That's why I was curious about the differences because I think, he can have both machines available in his workshop.

Great video and thank you. May I please ask why you are using an old school cassette tape recorder for your samples. Is it to keep things Analogue for as long ss possible? I am new to all this and an just curious? Thanks.
