Marko's delivery is so perfect in every song. His emotion is so raw in them. That feeling you get from this song is warmth, and that can only be delivered by a 'true to their words' vocalist. There is both a cello with the other strings, AND an upright bass. There are few truer sounding instruments than an upright bass.

Thanks for your posting as always! This is the one I was most anxious for you to listen to and review, perhaps my favorite of the Theater Sessions. It's also very similar to the studio version but with more reliance on the strings of Triosis+ here. I do believe the fourth player (the +) is also their sister who joined the group later after the original Triosis was well underway. You will also enjoy "Rebirth," Marko's clear proclamation of undying love and self-sacrifice. Watch out for a special poetic twist (I mean, a strange hyperbolic statement) in the lyrics of "Rebirth." You'll know it when you hear it. 😀Hope you feel better soon and can avoid an out-and-out sinus infection.

You're genuinely in for such a treat on your journey with this band, they're incredible and I love them so much. Savour it. In addition to these sessions there's also another live series they did with the Genelec Artist Room - which are fantastic too, and another arrow to place into your Poets quiver.

Definitely a great series, they play cool songs there, I like Once upon a playground rainy. It is also cool to see their interaction as a band as they face each other in these sessions at Genelec, which they can't do live, you can see how much their enjoy what they do.

I've been a fan of Poets of the Fall for a few years now, and I just adore their music and lyrics! They're surely my favourite band out there. And I love this Alexander Theatre version of the song. It's so beautiful! Carnival of rust on this list is so good too! I just yesterday looked through most of your POTF reactions and finished them today! Got a follower from me, haha! I'm sure you'd love their newest album called Ghostlight. I gotta say that it has to be their best album in my opinion, but I so adore the others very much too! Take care! 🫶🩵

Just recently discovered their song The beautiful ones, there is no music video for it, but it is amazing. And it is not even in an actual album, it's a bonus released with Lift. Listen to it, amazing lyrics, such deep sense, these guys are just unbelievable. They are so talented that they can 'afford' to release such amazing songs so casually.

The songs you didn’t care for were other songs than Poets right? Because these guys turn it around every time, I think. Also live - I’ve never seen a bad show of theirs in 20 years, always amazing energy and positive vibes! I hope you’re doing all right, because your last reaction posted was 9 months ago. 2 Alexander Theatre songs still missing, and I cannot wait for you to get to the album versions then, because despite of them being an Indie band producing everything on their own small label, most of their videos are very elaborate, visually stunning masterpieces. Their level of artistry is so remarkably high in every respect - lyrics, music, vocals, visuals … and once you’re done with Poets albums, there’s still Old Gods Of Asgard, their metal alter ego band performing in games like Max Payne, Alan Wake, Control … Poets are currently celebrating their 20th anniversary, so there’s a LOT you have yet to discover! I believe Marko’s mum is British/or lived there a long time so English really is his mother tongue.😊
