This song is so deep. "my resolution failed" refers to when he wanted to escape Sanguinem and made that plan, which we all know of. That day when (almost) his entire family was killed, he still lives with that and the light of day still hurts him. Not a day goes by without thinking of them He wants to see Yuu again but how would he respond to seeing he is now a vampire himself "You are not my enemy" "A river will flow" there will be tears This song isn't just about this or that scene, it's what Mika lives with every day. This song expresses that everytime it gets played. Like people mentioned, it's played when he gets through soldiers to get to Yuu -> he's hurting humans, as a vampire. He's become what killed his family and god this song is so emotional Talking about Scapegoat of course, XU is yuu's song If you want proof of that check out the soundtrack real quick. Hundredknight Y and hundredknight M. The Y is Yuichiro and the M is Mikaela of course God I love this series so much. Can't wait to finally get started on my Mika cosplay!

Sometimes I imagine it being someone who betrayed those fallen, but regretted it and felt remorse towards their cause. Other times, I imagine it being a leader or hero that felt he could have done more to save more of those lives. Maybe it’s just my wild imagination, but I feel a sense of sadness and longing every time I hear those words.

man that "ARE YOU STILL MY FAMILY" line gives me goosebumps all the time when i listen to this beautiful track.This song contains so much emotion that when you listen to it all the fantastic scenes from the anime just rushes into your head. No matter how frustrated or tired i feel this song always jump starts me.

It's just so sad... How Mika and Yū just wished to save each other. It's a simple yet a difficult concept. While people see Mika and Yū as a ship, I see them as a true family. I mean, brotherly love. "Don't forsake me now, we haven't got the time." leaves a huge impact on me, it kinda tells how Mika always gets close to Yuu but he insists on going back to his friends, and for Mika, he couldn't tell him what he wanted to tell Yu. Leaves me in tears y'know. ;-; God, Hiroyuki Sawano is our anime saviour, lmao.

I'm not sure if this is a Underrated Anime, and yes it can be really bad at pacing sometimes. Sometimes your wondering why did the episode hold on to so much b.s. when are we getting to the good stuff. I want to be clear that I VERY MUCH LOATH vampire animes. Like to the T. The only one I could love with was blood +. But Serpah of the End, I actually really frekin enjoyed it, it's done well. It's not perfect but my god this is a serious potential story, and the Vampires have such a amazing reason for me to want to BEAT THERE BLOODY head in, the writers who made them this way did a really good job, the main cast can be a little annoying if not under shadowed a little bit but all and all they are really neat. But the ending of Season 2 felt like God Eaterish. Still I would recommend this Anime to anyone, it's a pretty emotional setting, sometimes a little boring, manely because the Vampires are so FULL of themselves. But I give it a 4.7 out of 5. The OST REALLY nails the coffin on this one, I went there.
