I love these kinds of songs. I love those innocent father/daughter romantic stories. As people always say the girl's first love is her father. Yet so many dads so messed it up, leaving her broken and hurt..

Yep, and America’s outrageously high divorce rate surely isn’t helping either. Our country is under a curse because of so many divorces.

This is literally my story tho. When my parents found out I was a girl (there literally no girls that were born on my dads side) my dad wasn’t happy but my mom was. Then the second my dad saw me I was his little girl.

Sounds familiar... In 25 years of my life all mine has done was treat me like crap, expect me to bow my head down and adore him and then he wonders why I do nothing for him while my mom just needs to open her mouth and she'll get anything from me. Some father's are funny people, lol. Eventually you grow up, move out and it's up to you to decide if the kinda parent they were is worth a presence in your now independent life.

I have two older sisters and my dad was praying for a little boy since I was going to be my parents' last. The entire pregnancy my dad referred to me as "Jonathan", but he said that when the nurse told him I was a girl when I was born, he cried and made up for it by repeatedly saying my name "Miranda" to me over and over again

this song reminds everyone of memories with there dad even though they wanted a boy and how it would be with there son but later on in life they wouldn't change it for the world and how when there daughters start dating then get married how our dad would feel our dads will always go back and remember when we were young and how they wanted us to be happy and then we grow up this song reminds everyone of life is and how fast time goes by

this is like my story my dad always wanted a boy. they always went to the doctor and they said I was a boy he got happy until the nurse walked in with a baby girl then he left the hosptil and left my mom at least that's what my mom told me and now I am growing up my step dad to me my real dad.....
@kouldbanyone49835 жыл бұрын
I'm so sorry for your pain. Though my father didn't desert nor abandon my mother or myself. I've always known he wanted a boy. It rips your soul out. You never feel good enough. Take care with men in your life. Because you're at risk of trying to please them too much in a effort to prove to your dad that you're worth it. I speak from bitter experience.
