I think this song is about the bride hanged herself, but the husband married her anyway because they grew up together. Cause January 18th in Chinese calendar is not great for marriage but for funeral. Also the bride is lifted in red dress, not put on. I found this info from another site and just translated and transferred the info here. So basically the song is about 冥婚, which means marrying the body of a dead person.

Suona. The Suona in china is a considered an instrument played at weddings and funerals. The song is using irony in the sense that on the surface it seems to be about a girl getting married, when in reality it is describing a dead girl’s funeral. In ancient china, when a young person dies unwed, their parents may choose to have them married posthumously to someone dead or alive before being buried as a way to “complete” their life. The lyrics give subtle clues that it was a funeral by using ambiguous but strange phrasing that would better fit with a funeral than a wedding.
