+S Sharma I disagree. I find a sense of hope in them actually, and I agree with Violet on the regard that it makes me happy. The songs chorus states that it's "waiting for the cough syrup to come down", as in, cough syrup tastes terrible when you first have it in your mouth, which is a metaphor for hard times, and when it goes down things will be better, signifying the hard times to be over. The verses just add to this commentary, but that's just me I guess. I don't understand how a song so uplifting in mood could be about something so serious and sinister.

This song just screams my hometown. The kids are stoned, the parents are drunk and the homes are trashed, but it's my hometown. I've had so many memories there, some good and some bad. I've stolen from the stores, bought endless drinks from the Dunkin Donuts right in town, and smoked weed with friends in their houses with oblivious parents. I understand why people have pride in being from New York City or Chicago but I have more pride from being from such a rundown place that no one's ever heard of. I'll get out one day. I'll have a chance. Or at least I hope so. Who knows, maybe I'll die here and never make anything out of my life. But at least I had fun.

@@bookwermofthefandoms In glee there is this character named Dave. He was a HUGE bully to this kid named Kurt because he was gay. What we did not know was that Dave was gay and trying to hide/suppress it. Anyway after a while dave invites kurt to go on a surprise date with him for valentines day. Well at that point kurt sits down with him and turns him down at the resturant they were at. Some kid from Dave's school sees them and post it online where we all know what happens. The next day he sees the word "Fag" on his football locker. It was his own teamates who did that. After a week of this bullying dave attemps suicide. Thankfully his dad finds him in time (that scene is also heartbreaking). Im sorry if I got anything wrong. Just watch the cover of it please. It is so good.

+Jacob Woolf i use to have a big problem with dxm until one day me and 2 buddies were tripping super fucking hard on like a 4 day binge of dxm litterally not knowing wtf has being going on the past 4 days and my buddy also took 2 and a half hits of nbomb (bad acid/synthetic acid) and me and my other friend were on 2 hits and my buddy who was on 2 and a half hits on top of the dxm ended up becoming convinced he was god at the local park and got butt ass naked infront of a bunch of little league games and got tazed 6 times and went into a seizure and arrested and hes been in jail for months now he got 8 months in our county and when he gets out he has to go serve time in 2 other counties for his priors he had and violating his probo in those counties and i just kinda stopped doing it
