The president of proverbs 31 ministry shares her personal testimony. Her struggles at the early stages of life and how those carried through her adolescent years to even her adulthood. She shares her battles and weakness and how at one of the lowest times of her life a friends sent her a verse that changed her life. She couldn't believe it! Is that verse really true? Produced by Her Health in Sioux City, Iowa. www.herhealthwomenscenter.org. Uploaded with permission.

Thank you so much, Lysa, for sharing your testimony. For some reason, I had the impression that you were a woman who'd had a privileged life...("Judge not" ..and don't judge a book by its cover.)...Understanding now that you have been through soooo much, which helps you to help so many others...the ones who feel like they are the "throw-aways." I thank God that He can use our messy lives to help others!!

I did not know how to trust God. I fell for the lie also that I could forget about it in a few days. I sat there waiting to be taken back to the private room and my mind rolled out this thought, Isn't it a sin to have an abortion? I couldn't decide yes or no but maybe. I went through with anyways. You NEVER forget, I don't think about it every day but I have never forgotten about that innocent baby. I could not settle in my mind that I would have the support that I needed to take care of two kids on my own. I was foolish and have repented and found God since then. I am forgiven but I still regret that this was against the will of God and did it anyways.

This is powerful. What is being shared about feeling like a , “ throw- away person” makes you act like a throw away person. Even as a Christian, ministry can often become addictive, especially if you have a deep longing to be, “ seen” To be in the spot light and gets a lot of affirmation your heart is longing for. Childhood sexual abuse can take a long time to recover from. I pray Lysa takes the time away for the stage to heal and let the Holy Spirit restore what was lost. God have mercy on her . There are many layers of healing that only He can do, in His time. We often try to rush the deep work He is doing. There are treasures in the darkness, when we stop seeking the spotlight. “ Isaiah 45: 3 “ And I will give you treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that thou may knowest that I , the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. “ She is just beginning to know HIM..it is another beginning! To know His love that ever fails.

Anna Paula Harvard. Read John 10:10. I used to wonder the same things. I questioned God about terrible things that happened to me. It is the devil that comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came that I could have abundant life. The devil does awful, evil things and delights in us blaming God. I sought out deliverance ministry and inner healing for myself with the help of some precious Godly women. Then I learned that Jesus won back my authority over the devil. That was a game-changer! God's Word says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge, and I was the perishing Christian". I remember after finding that Scripture praying, "Please ,God, don't let me perish for lack of knowledge." God is always good. Always faithful. The devil and his minions are evil and want to destroy God's people especially.

I don't understand either. But I think...if only good things happen for believers, it would be very easy to believe. We wouldn't need to have faith. Bad things will happen. But God is there and He uses bad things for our good too.

Lets not focus on our own testimony more than the most wonderful testimony and thats Jesus raising from the dead to give us life.We are alive because He lives and whatever dies in our lives makes us more alive in Jesus. Jesus lives and thats the greatest testimony. Harvesting souls not rehashing on the constant look backs. Luke 9:62 “But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Let just get on with it even unto death as disciples did. They didnt rave on about their wives husband, childhood etc they shared the only Good News our salvation🥰🙏🏻✝️🕊

Here's a question for Lisa. Is it ok for you Lisa to travel the world and leave your husband alone - in the name of " ministry"? Although you blame your husband for cheating , "it's not good for man to be alone" Alone because you chose to travel instead of honor your part of the vows. Men do not marry so they can do life alone. So Lisa , you broke your vows also. 1cor. 11 1 Tim 2:12

Do not EVER take the focus off his sin. DON"T MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM! Don't tell her what she did wrong, don't tell her what she could have done better. Tell her your sorry that her husband hurt with infidelity REPEATEDLY. Tell her that God can redeem this marriage but if it isn't so He can redeem her and make something good out of this. Tell her she's enough, tell her she is loved. Pray for her husband, that he turns from HIS sin, that he owns up to it and turns from it. Pray scripture over her, and her husband, and pray to GOD how YOU can help someone through a trial like this.

Anthony Crane you sound like a man scorned. Why not have Grace as Jesus gave us Grace instead of trying to find blame. God gave Lysa a gift of reaching others it is not your place to say she abandon her duties as a wife when you have no idea what her marriage is like. Pray that healing can happen in her marriage and pray that both of them will find their way back to eachother if that is what God's will is.
