lena was such a sweetheart tbh, yulia had my attention first but lena inevitably won me over. she looked so calm and mature, even when she was a teenager. both of these girls deserved better than that creepy ass dude. they still had a positive impact in their gay/lesbian fans, but it wasn't worth it to get sexualized in that way, and at such a young age too. the industry was (and still is) rotten.

but as far as i know he claims he wrote the songs when actually lena kiper (from the band "nichya") wrote "nas ne dagoniat/not gonna get us" and some other early hits too (which you can obviously hear when you listen to "nichya"). as far as i remember there was big trouble between them because of that. and if that is really true then lena kiper never got the recognition and respect she deserved.

Darling, Vanya had to invent those T shirts with their 'quite rude' slogans as Tatu had come to break into the US music scene while a war was starting. Vanya had one chance at this fight for exposure and airtime. The T shirts were a tool to make sure Tatu were mentioned in the next days papers. The faux lesbianism brought attention, as did the T shirts.

yes, i found it thanks to your post, and NO THANK YOU that version is crap compared to the Russian one, wish they never made it Russian version is full of symbolism and images, english is just lyrical and bad as Chto Ne Hvaetat/Friend or foe or the travesty of Vsya Moya Lubov/All my love (all the symbolism was lost in translation)
