Translation: "Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His bounty? But We had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom. And some among them believed in it, and some among them were averse to it. And sufficient is Hell as a blaze. Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our signs, We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through, We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise." (Quran 4:54-56)

They saw what Moses (peace be upon him) did and sacrificed to call them to monotheism, and to oppose oppression, dictatorship, disbelief, and polytheism represented by the oppressive Pharaonic regime. Despite all this, they were weak and oppressed, as the Pharaonic system killed their sons and shamed their women. They witnessed the great deeds and the great struggle Moses and Aaron made to free them from the oppression of the Pharaonic regime. Yet, despite all that, they said to Moses (peace be upon him), 'You and your Lord go and fight, for we are sitting right here.' Some of them even worshipped the Golden Calf, and others said arrogantly, 'Show us Allah openly.' Moses (peace be upon him) complained about them and said, 'Why do you harm me when I am a Messenger sent by Allah to you?' They also said, 'Make gods for us like they have gods.' All of this happened after they had left Egypt and witnessed the end of Pharaoh's tyranny. Then Moses (peace be upon him) said, 'My Lord, I have control only over myself and my brother, so separate us from the disobedient people.' Allah, the Exalted, said, 'Therefore, it shall be forbidden to them for forty years; they will wander in the land, so do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people.'" (Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5: 22- 24)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, and the ships that sail in the sea for the benefit of people, and the water that God sends down from the sky and revives the earth with it after its death, and scatters in it all creatures, and His dispensing of the winds and the clouds subjugated between the sky and the earth, are signs for a people who understand.( Qur'an )

"And they followed what the devils recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and what was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, 'We are a trial, so do not disbelieve.' And they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And they learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew." (Quran 2:102)

Those who disbelieved from the Children of Israel were cursed by the tongues of David and Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and were transgressing. They used not to prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing. You see many of them becoming allies of those who disbelieved. How wretched is that which they have put forth for themselves in that Allah has become angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide .[Quran]
