A superbly crafted arrangement by Emil Ludmany, and sublime performance by viola soloist and all members of the quartet, of a fantastic piece by Bruch, which only goes to show that this combination of small scale power, intensity, intimacy of play beats just about anything else- and it was and always will be supremely beautiful
