Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a mouth-watering and unique recipe: Fish Egg Curry (Macher Dimer Borar Jhol). This recipe is perfect for the monsoon season when fish are full of eggs. Follow my special method to create a dish that will have everyone licking their fingers and asking for more! This fish-egg curry is not only delicious but also a delightful change from the usual meat curries.
Ingredients:
Fish Eggs (Macher Dim) - 250g
Onions - 2, finely chopped
Tomato - 1, finely chopped
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Green Chilies - 2, chopped
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Bay Leaves - 2
Mustard Oil - 5 tbsp
Salt - as per taste
Sugar
Water - 1 cup
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix fish eggs with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder. Form small balls.
Heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the fish egg balls until golden brown. Set aside.
In the same pan, add bay leaves and chopped onions. Fry until onions are golden brown.
Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilies. Fry for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
Add the fried fish egg balls and mix well.
Add water and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Sprinkle garam masala powder and cook for another 2 minutes.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
