I disagree with the thinking that black is unflattering on a more mature lady…totally depends on your hair colour, complexion etc. I think you look lovely in black…very striking indeed. I actually quite like that strange black dress on you. Might be better with some funky ankle boots. I do really love those Calla black shoes. I tried to look for those on their website but they only seem to be doing the leather ones at the moment. I have the nude ones…so comfy as you say. Hi Helen. What a treat to see you twice in one day! I can honestly say that if my garment kept catching on things it would drive me crazy. I’m not a sparkly or sequin lady at all but they are certainly very eye catching for those who enjoy some glitz and glam and have the occasion to wear that look.The asymmetric dress was not to my taste at all and was not flattering. The eyelet jacket was very different and I actually thought it was the nicest piece of today’s haul. It was a very smart cut and would look great with skirts, jeans and trousers.x❤️🎄

First dress fits you beautifully but for me personally sequins that keeps catching would drive me crazy. Number two OK stylish but the same problem as the first sequin dress. You looked very nice in number three.I saw the top in a maroon colour in a store a couple of weeks ago. The jacket by Julian McDonald is different you can wear it anytime or anywhere . The last one the Bomber jacket I bought it last year in a Mocha colourwith pockets from Apricot after about 2 hrs I took the damn thing off and gave it to my Granddaughter. I wouldn't say lucky her. Hi Helen I used to shop at my local M&Co but sadly it closed down a few years ago. I always found that some of their clothing was just plain boring and fuddy duddy and others pieces(the pricier ones) were a bit more edgy and trendy so quite a good mix. My favourite was the Christmas jumper and the batwing jumper.Loved the biker jacket but couldn’t cope with the catching of the sequins and thought the weird dress was great especially if it was paired up with the biker jacket.Definitely rock chick😄 Don’t burn yourself out Helen,you seemed to have lost a little of your sparkle today❤

I wore a sequin maxi dress this past weekend to a black tie event and although it looked lovely, I was concerned about it catching and pulling. Don’t think I would buy one again! Actually, just remembered, it was the silver one from Nobody’s Child that you’d bought on sale from Next and recommended. Think it was only about £35 so I was happy with it at that price. 😊

So far my favorite is the blazer with the eyelets and with the military shirt underneath . IT looks stunning with your beautiful white hair but I would NOT wear it with the black skirt because the blacks are different colors. I think it's too much black. I thought that previously with one of the outfits you put together. IT was just too much black so choose whatever-- a white skirt or a red skirt cuz it's Christmas. I don't know, maybe a gray skirt?😚 IT'S very stunning and well done and very nicely tailored. I just wouldn't put black on black. IT'S too much black. Good luck.

Post script I read some of the comments and yes I agree you look absolutely smashing in the green sequin dress and many of the other sequins but if they're going to stick to each other , that's not going to work, because you're a type of woman who likes to be relaxed and always in possession of herself and not fidgeting with all her little sequins sticking to each other. So for that reason, I eliminated the sequins even though they look smashing on you😊

I had a double skirt made for me and a beautiful sequin top in deep green in Macedonia for a wedding i attended. The sequins kept getting stuck and it was so frustrating. I brought this outfit With me to CANADA but just left it wrapped up. Those sequins are hard to work with.

Our Mother's..our Fathers may not be with us. This is so hard. Keep moving ahead. Talk about cooking my clan is arriving for the big day and this year it's a double header. Going to set the tables tomorrow and get menu planning. I cannot cook anything in advance..probably serve 13 different dishes Well you know how that goes..everything will be eaten and dishes for a week after. Cannot put good dishes in dishwasher. I'm lucky enough to have an M&Co shop in my local centre. I really like the quality and prices. They are beginning to reopen more shops. I like a lot of this haul but the biker jacket is so cool! Sadly don't share your view on the eyelet jacket. It looks like something an art student has upcycled for a project. Each to their own though 😂

I had pale gold sequined trousers and they were a nightmare. Everytime I crossed my legs they would tangle and I'd have a job to untangle them. I ended up changing on Christmas day as they drove me mad so they went off to the charity shop as soon as they opened up after Christmas.
