I shared this as a reply to someone's comment. But that Bangin' intro is not a synthesized sound or a kazoo. It is actually a sample from a Tamil (MIAs native language) song. The original song is composed by one of her favourite music director called Ilaiyaraja. She samples some of his music for her other songs including Bamboo Banga and Galang I think. Anyway the Kazoo is sampled from a song called "Oru kili uruguthu" from the movie Aanantha Kummi. The sample starts at around the 1:04 mark. Its a really good song with a great melody. It always amazes me how she uses these samples and elevates it to a totally different level. Hope she keeps doing more creative things like this. Its always extra exciting because I am aware of the original and am amazed by the difference between the two. I just though someone else might appreciate it like I did and decided to share this.
