Stanford 和 UC Berkeley 的确是美国乃至世界级的顶尖大学，其他几间，虽然不是很差，但并不在任何排名榜上，尤其是San Jose State

I beg to differ. I worked in the silicon valley since the 80s. SJSU back then wasn't that great. But today, it is one of the best engineering school in the west coast. Its engineering, computer science as well as business degree are widely considered as very good by many companies in Silicon Valley. Frankly, for new undergrads, I would rather hire a SJSU student than a Stanford kid. SJSU kids would work their hearts out to solve your problem while a Stanford kid, bright as he may be, would complain to you why he doesn't get promoted to management within two weeks. Now, for Master/PHD programs, Stanford and Berkeley folks are indeed a different league - real world-class engineers/entrepreneurs/leaders.

@@chenzhang19 While UCSF is one of the top 3 medical schools in US (I have a few friends who graduated from UCSF with medical degrees and one of my cousin is a professor at UCSF), UCSF does NOT have any high tech/engineering curriculums. If you are referring to USF (which is a private university in San Francisco), frankly USF's CS and engineering degree is good BUT not at the same rank as Berkeley, Stanford or even SJSU.

Stanford is in the city of Palo Alto. There is not such a city called City of Stanford or Stanford City on map. Do your research before misleading your viewers.

Hmmm... Technically you are right. But lately, Stanford has been pushing to have the campus recognized as separate area from Palo Alto. Today, if you send a letter to Stanford, CA 94305, it actually will be recognized by the post office. Part of it is that Palo Alto has been raising the local tax/fees on its residence and some "Stanford" residences want nothing to do with paying more tax.
