The thing about mirrors is that not all animals use purely sight to identify others. For example: My cat knows there's not another cat in the mirror because she can't smell it. Additionally the mirror she has easy access to is in a save place where she wouldn't be surprised by the sudden sight of herself.

Actually, cats know there's not another cat in the mirror because they are one of the few animals that can recognise a 2D image; it has nothing to do with smell. When cats look in a mirror they know they are looking at their own reflection. That's also why cats are one of the few types of animal that can consciously produce art.

That would be because facecams add nothing to a KZbin video and are the recourse of the talentless. The Sirs are above that; they simply don't need it to make their videos interesting. Facecams work well for streaming because there's a fair amount of interactivity with the audience, but KZbin vids have no such interactivity.
