Very good content. Wasnt aware of this info especially the cost of maintenance and repair for a gear box even after having driven 5 cars in last 25 years as i havent encountered such expense. Have to be very careful in buying second hand used cars by checking the gear box.

Very smart mechanic , servicing a automatic gear needs real skill As I am driving automatic cars for the past 30 years in Kuwait , no mechanic here services the automatic gear box as they don’t have the skill They will simply replace it with re built one Once you do oil service properly as most of the gear box is sealed , it as to be done with oil pump Japanese torque converter gear box manufactured by isin Warner(Japan) used by all Toyota cars , it is also used by Maruti ertiga , XL6 , Jimny ,Mahindra Thar is most reliable Will run with out oil change for 3 lakhs atleast
