The 3d animation are getting better, one of the pros of it is definitely the character being more clearer on what they're doing, though I do miss the snappy 2d

He's in a showcase of playable main character skills. Safe to assume he is unlockable. Based on appearance, I'm guessing he is the final boss who becomes playable postgame.

My Japanese is pretty bad, but I played through the story and followed it a little, I think he is the powered up version of the guy you see again at 4:43, "オープナー" which I guess would be Opener. I don't believe he is a separate unlock besides getting オープナー after the last battles. Note that he used all of his abilities on the MC "フジ" or Fuji, and not enemies.
