As we continue our journey, we hop on horseback and take in the sights and sounds of the city, discussing the financial struggles faced by many of its residents and gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges and hardships they endure.
But our adventure is just beginning! We set out on a three-day boat ride along the Mania River, taking in the stunning natural beauty of the countryside and getting to know the local communities that call this area home. Along the way, we make a stop at a charming small movie theater.
Our adventure doesn't end there - we also visit a local school, admiring the smart uniforms worn by the eager students and learning about the importance of education in Madagascar. Finally, we wrap up our journey with a visit to the school's church, reflecting on the incredible beauty and diversity of this amazing country.
