Sir, have you observed that a particular situation is not/less painful for some and more painful for others? Why is that so? Could you please elaborate?
@AuroMaa Жыл бұрын
That is true and it is for a number of reasons including our attitudes, individual constitution, learning the responses from the social milieu, difference of sensitivity, stage of inner development etc. The secret lies in the growth of consciousness. The wider one becomes the less one is pained, the deeper we live the less we are affected by the surface events and outer circumstances, the higher we climb the less we are troubled. Of course there are those who are at an elementary stage of evolution and are too hard to be effected by things. But as they evolve they have to pass through this phase of excessive sensitivity test often makes us more vulnerable to pain. The solution is to come out of the ego and live in a wide impersonality.

@AuroMaa ok..that's exactly what I wanted to know. Because I am confused as I see people around me who are not affected by things at all but they don't seem to be high in consciousness as well. I don't understand that phenomena. Isn't it a paradox Sir? People who are not spiritual at all; totally immersed in material world and infact successful in material world are not pained by circumstances that sensitives are pained by. Are they more developed or less developed than someone who feels more pain living in the world? Aren't sensitives more developed spiritually?

The stone and the sage may seem alike to the outer eye but the difference lies in the consciousness. The stone is generally incapable of feeling pain, its own as well as someone else nor can it love. The sage feels the suffering of others and overcoming and subordinating his own pain helps others, both silently that may seem an indifference or actively by consciously participating in the world play. However unlike the selfish humanity that is indifferent to others because it is hard and stonelike or acts out of selfish motives and personal gains, the apparent indifference of the sage is full of deep wisdom and knowledge of the forces at play. His interventions are equally not driven by ignorant ambition or personal gains but out of the same deep wisdom and compassion that sees and understands and knows what needs to be done. Yes sensitivity is an important phase through which the stone-like selfish humanity must pass towards its higher possibilities.
