Babies should not divide from mother body for few days Cleaning floor with surf will harm the babies. Babies will not get sufficient oxygen. Mother and babies prefer to life few days in open place to get rich oxygen. Out side of house where there is trees. Humans must under the above when they grow female dogs and when they are pregnant

It is normal. Whenever they are comfortable they give birth. And also I think it depends on breeds and whether it is first time giving birth or not.
