Join us on Patreon: / megalithomania . An exploration of a unique megalithic site with a holed stone near Land's End in Cornwall. It was possibly once a stone circle, whilst others believe the holed stone was an entrance to a burial chamber. Fertility and healing legends are rife here, saying that if you pass an infant through the hole in a certain way and a number of times they will be healed of disease. It is in an area rich in megaliths and is one of the most important sacred sites in Cornwall. Includes exclusive aerial footage.

Why was all of ancient Europe and even down to Egypt so fascinated with Brittania? Theres so much we have not figured out yet, but it is without doubt the centre of something magical!

Wow, Cornwall is the Megalith capital eh? Very interesting. Wonder how more megaliths are under water off the coast. Anyone ever searched that you've heard of? Another great video on a site incredibly rich with great material. I think of all of my subscribed channels this one easily has the most diversity. I learn something incredible and new each episode. I want Hugh and JJ's jobs!!

Just found this! I'm thrilled, I heard of Menantol by chance and have been fascinated by it. Around 2006 there was a gemstone Seller from Kansas, on ebay that simply had a picture of it at the bottom of her page. I asked her what it was. She told me after World War II her father in the USA Service had passed it and photographed it. I can not wait to view this video.

Great video from the Mega team.Must visit this site. Dramatic moment when Hugh nearly didn't make it through. It would be good drone video to catch JJ pulling the main man out by the legs.

I visited there some years ago now and went through the hole. Thought the whole place was magical and nobody else was there at the time, making it feel special somehow. Want to go again now after seeing this! Thanks Hugh, love these vids.

I believe it's intended that you go through the hole/portal on sacred mushrooms. It's a synergy combo thing. Nice vid Hugh.

More Megalithic sites per square mile? That is very interesting to know. I will have to visit some of these the next time I cross the pond.

The circle stone used to have a serpent eating its tail which symbolises Birth, death, the falling and rising of the sun and the circle of life. This was part of a calendar. To the people for a time it seemed to predicted the future and was a place of great importance. This place told you when to plant, when to harvest, pretty much everything.

Wonderful Hugh, one site I need to visit. On that subject - Video suggestion - 'Top 10 Sites in the UK' - you may have footage from many already. Quick Video using your PC to detail your suggestions in these times of more limited travel opportunities. Regards

I often wonder if it originally had a rifle site type alignment to a specific star or direction, but I've heard all of the stones, including the ring where moved several times so that's not likely to be the case now.

@Michael Freed sorry I hadn't realised Hugh had already gone through until I rewound the video. She's alright actually after I criticised her narration the other week, she wrote back & said sorry, so I quite like her now & she gives Hugh a bit of interesting company whilst look at old Megalithic stones.

The village of Mên, yet another settlement by the Menapii, a Belgic tribe from West- and East-Flanders (city of Menen is named after them, the land of south West-Flanders used to be named Mempiscus) that had many colonies along the British and Irish coast, also the Isle of Man is named after them. The old name of Anglesey, Mon, and the old name of the Isle of Man, Monopia, and the old name of Wexford, Manapia, all named after them. Unlike many Belgae tribes who were Germani cis-Rhenani, Germanic tribes who had crossed the Rhine and adoptic Gallic ways, the Menapii were pure Celts. They were the smallest tribe of Belgae according to Caesar, sea-farers named after the Celtic sea god Mannanan mac Lir. I recommended for further reading the book The Menapia Quest by Norman Mongan.

If you look at the sky, using the celestial sphere, or azimuthal equidistant markers, geocentric models of the earth and the orbits of the sun, moon and stars you begin to see what these megalithic structures and standing stones were for. We don't live on a spinning ball. Tick tock, sky clock! Love and blessings always 🌻
