Vă invit într-o călătorie prin alte timpuri! Mănăstirea Humor (sau Mănăstirea Humorului) este o mănăstire ortodoxă, monument istoric din România, județul Suceava. A fost construită în anul 1530 în satul Humor de către marele logofăt Toader Bubuiog.
Ansamblul mănăstiresc este format din patru obiective:
-Biserica „Adormirea Maicii Domnului” și „Sf. Gheorghe” - construită în 1530
-Ruinele caselor mănăstirești - sec. XVI-XVIII
-Turnul clopotniță - sec. XIX
-Turnul lui Vasile Lupu, domnitor al Moldovei (1634-1653) - 1641
Organizația UNESCO a inclus Mănăstirea Humor pe lista patrimoniului cultural mondial, în grupul Bisericile pictate din nordul Moldovei.
Pe la începutul secolului al XV-lea, în perioada domniei lui Alexandru cel Bun (1400-1432), "panul Ivan vornicul care era la Humor" a înălțat o biserică de piatră pe malul unui pârâu, în apropiere de confluența acestuia cu râul Humor.
Biserica zidită de vornicul Ivan s-a prăbușit în primele decenii ale secolului al XVI-lea, din cauze necunoscute. Ruinele vechii mănăstiri se află la vreo 500 m de actuala biserică. Acestea sunt incluse pe Lista monumentelor istorice din județul Suceava.
În anul 1530, marele logofăt Toader Bubuiog a început construirea unei noi biserici de piatră. În 1535, ctitorul a adus și o echipă de meșteri care au pictat noua biserică.
În anul 1641, domnitorul Vasile Lupu (1634-1653) a înconjurat ctitoria logofătului Toader Bubuiog cu ziduri durabile de piatră și a construit un turn masiv cu parter și trei etaje.
Biserica "Adormirea Maicii Domnului” este construită în plan triconc, cu abside laterale, dar fără turle. Construită în stilul moldovenesc în ultimul deceniu al domniei lui Ștefan cel Mare (1457-1504), această biserică prezintă o serie de trăsături distinctive care o deosebesc de bisericile ștefaniene. Este vorba de lipsa turlei de deasupra naosului, precum și de prezența pentru prima dată, în arhitectura moldovenească, a unui pridvor deschis (în locul obișnuitului pridvor închis) și a tainiței, încăpere nouă suprapusă încăperii mormintelor.
A fost restaurată în anii '60-'70.
Biserica Mănăstirii Humor a fost împodobită integral, în exterior și în interior, cu picturi în frescă, ca și bisericile Voroneț, Moldovița, Arbore și Sucevița. Cromatic, predomină nuanțele de roșu, culoarea specifică a acestei biserici.
I invite you on a journey through old times! Humor Monastery (or The Monastery of Humor) is an Orthodox monastery, historical monument in Romania, Suceava county. It was built in 1530 in the village of Humor by the great chancellor Toader Bubuiog.
The monastic ensemble consists of four objectives:
- Church of "Assumption of Virgin Mary" and "Saint George" - built in 1530
- The ruins of monastic houses - XVI-XVIII c.
- The bell tower - XIX c.
- The tower of Vasile Lupu, ruler of Moldavia (1634-1653) - 1641
The UNESCO organization included the Humor Monastery on the list of World Cultural Heritage, in the group Painted Churches from the Northern Moldavia.
At the beginning of the 15th century, during the reign of Alexander the Good (1400-1432), "the dignitary Ivan who was at Humor" erected a stone church on the bank of a stream, near its confluence with the Humor river.
The church built by the noble Ivan collapsed in the first decades of the 16th century, due to unknown causes. The ruins of the old monastery are about 500 m far from the current church. They are included on the List of historical monuments in Suceava county.
In 1530, the great chancellor Toader Bubuiog started the construction of a new stone church. In 1535, the founder also brought a team of craftsmen who painted the new church.
In 1641, the ruler Vasile Lupu (1634-1653) surrounded the foundation of the chancellor Toader Bubuiog with durable stone walls and built a massive tower with a ground floor and three floors.
The "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" church is built in a triangular plan, with lateral apses, but without towers. Built in the Moldavian style in the last decade of the reign of Stephen the Great (1457-1504), this church presents a series of distinctive features that set it apart, such as the absence of the tower above the nave and the presence for the first time, in Moldavian architecture, of an open porch (instead of the usual closed porch) and the crypt, a new room superimposed on the room of the tombs.
It was restored in the '60-70s.
The Church of the Humor Monastery was fully decorated, outside and inside, with fresco paintings, as were the churches of Voroneț, Moldovița, Arbore and Sucevița. Chromatically, shades of red predominate, the specific color of this church.
