Saltai in macchina a Palm Spring e mi diressi verso Mojave per vedere questa band. Stavo seguendo la loro carriera da un po' ed ero ansioso di vedere cosa potevano fare dal vivo. Entrai dal retro del palco e fui subito accolto caldamente da loro e dall'amico fotografo Myles Hendrik. Non avrebbero potuto essere piu' "cool"! L'eccitazione nei loro occhi mi ricordo' delle mie sensazioni quando, da giovane, percepivo l'energia della folla e volevo offrire il miglior rock show possibile. Passai circa un quarto d'ora con loro, poi notai che mancavano solo cinque minuti alla loro uscita e li lasciai soli perche' potessere incanalare quell'energia per dare il meglio come band. Li seguii sul palco mentre dalla folla saliva quel suono meraviglioso che ho sempre amato. Le luci si abbassarono e tutti gli occhi erano su di loro. Non ci hanno deluso”) , elogiati da Jonathan Davis in un'intervista con Rolling Stone e che è andato a vederli suonare a Las Vegas, Alice Cooper durante un’intervista “I Måneskin, per esempio, credo siano molto bravi e le loro canzoni sono fantastiche. Li ho visti in televisione e ho pensato: ‘Questi ragazzi sono fantastici’. Come la prima volta che ho visto i Nirvana e dissi: ‘Questa band spacca, sa distinguersi’. Ecco perché penso che i Måneskin stiano facendo un buon lavoro: suonano rock and roll, sono bravi, hanno successo, hanno stile e qualità. Hanno molto stile e immagine. Credo che molti gruppi rock se ne dimentichino spesso, ed è un peccato. Quello che le persone vogliono vedere è quel tipo di stile e di immagine. Hanno riempito un vuoto artistico. Il rock in Italia non è che lo facessero in molti. Loro hanno trovato una coesione tra di loro e non c’è cosa migliore”, mi e’ stato detto da un fan della PFM che anche Franco Mussida ha parlato bene di loro durante un’intervista, Finardi che durante un’ intervista ““Stanno realizzando il sogno che avevo da ragazzo: fare rock in giro per il mondo. Nel 1977 pubblicai ‘Diesel’ e nel retrocopertina ci sono io mezzo truccato, sembro proprio Damiano. È una band che fa onesto rock and roll. E lo fanno suonando, non è vero che non suonano. E me lo ha confermato anche Lucio Fabbri che li ha prodotti. Mi sono simpatici.”,…etc Oggi Lucio Fabbri polistrumentista arrangiatore e direttore d’orchestra che ha lavorato con PFM, De Andre’, Faber, Roberto Vecchioni, Eugenio Finardi, Pierangelo Bertoli, Lucio Dalla, Enzo Jannacci, Giorgio Gaber, e anche con i Måneskin di loro ha detto durante l’intervista “I Måneskin sono belli, giovani e forti: non ha senso criticare chi fa bene musicalmente. @@lexy4100 non mi interessa chi li ha elogiati (ma sarà tutto vero quello che hai scritto?!?) e nemmeno i riconoscimenti che ricevono, io ascolto solo la musica che suonano e come la suonano e ti posso assicurare che suonano come principianti che prendono x la 2^ volta in mano lo strumento e non propongono niente di nuovo ne di strabiliante. E x favore, non paragonarmeli ai Police ne tantomeno ai Led Zeppelin (che poi erano 4, non 3...).
