I actually heard them for the first time when they performed at Eurovision 2021 and I was blown away by them.. their performance was one of the best.. I didn't follow them after that, but than in 2023 I was searching for the song Zitti e buoni on youtube and found The loneliest and again I was blown away. This time I did want to hear more of their songs and wow they are so amazing. Got al their albums and Rush is my favorite. I'm actually not so much into Beggin 😅 For me it's Gossip, Supermodel and Own my mind, those are my top 3 Måneskin songs. And to be very honest I like Madcon's version of Beggin' better 😊

A great performance! Clearly influenced by Damiano’s Catholic roots, especially the last a cappella verse that sounds like it is in an Italian cathredal. I just saw them in Nashville this week. Another great show in a smaller venue. They did a cover of ‘Jolene’ by Dolly Parton! The audience loved it as well as the amazing cover of the rap song ‘Humble’. Super talented these guys and gals are. Thanks for your reactions!

I freaking love these guys! I’ve seen them live twice, once last year & once about a week ago. They will melt your face right off. Simply amazing both times. I love watching your reactions to the Måneskin videos. Since you have done most of my fave songs already, I’m just gonna recommend a couple of my fave songs that I haven’t see you do a reaction video for. Check out ‘Amandoti (amami ancora),’ ‘Mark Chapman’ (read the lyrics in English for that song, they are very clever lyricists), ‘Recovery,’ & ‘Morirò da Re.’ I love to see your enthusiasm for the band as a fan & as a musician. Excellent choice of t-shirts lately! I love Ghost & have seen them live MANY times. I enjoy your videos & please check out the songs I requested. Cheers! ✌🏼💜🤘🏼💜😈

Thank you for reacting to this one! It's one of my favorite songs by them, and I got to see it live last year - it blew my face off. I love how unexpected the pauses and changes are, and that bass! I also appreciate your comments about the production and mixing because I know nothing about that. It's always interesting to me to hear your perspective as a professional. As for meaning, I think this song is not just about the haters, but everyone - their old management who didn't believe their music and told them I Wanna Be Your Slave was shit, the awful treatment they got from the press in Italy (who did call them crazy, sick and addicts) and also the fans who become toxic (in particular the mention to being bitten - it happened to Damiano on stage in Turkey). In the end, all of them, the management, the press, the haters, the fans, they still come back to them in face of an unknown future (the dark), even if it's profit off their name. That's what I think the song is about. Still recommending Amandotti by them!
@NM-ty3yi Жыл бұрын
Their best songs are usually the ones in Italian, for both music and lyrics. Their songs in English tend to be simpler and not as meaningful. Their lyrics in Italian are more refined and intricate, which probably comes from mastering a larger vocabulary, and the possibility of delivering complex concepts when you use your mother tongue versus a foreign one ...

Hi Mike, I like your Måneskin reactions, from Italian fan we are so proud of this four kool Kids. I suggest you: "for your love" (live), "Gasoline (live), Close to the top (live), "Vent'anni", "Lividi sui gomiti" and "Amandoti ( amami ancora)", it's a cover of an Italian song, but their version is fantastic. Have a nice day.

I live in London UK, and I’m going to see them in Manchester in December BUT I have plans to see them in Rome asap, I love Rome (everyone should see Rome in their lifetime, it’s awesome) and as it’s their home town, I think that would just be so great, just rocking out big time. Looking for next tour dates!

I really like your reactions. I recommend that it is absolutely essential that you listen to the songs in Italian with English subtitles... the lyrics are exceptional and never banal.. the nice thing is that the road is still long you still have a lot of songs to know... next "twenty years"... but I repeat... subtitles..

I do hate the fact that Damiano's talent gets overshadowed these day because of the whole fashion thing around it. A lot of people don't take them seriously because of it. Kind of reminds me of the 80's and Boy George from Culture Club. All the comments about how he looked and dressed, it was always the main topic in magazines. Nothing about his amazing voice.. And with Damiano it's the same.. But you should just hear him sing Iron sky by Paolo Nutini live and accapella.. wow...goosebumps. The guy can sing!!!

Cosa se ne dovrebbe fare di una traduzione di, non so, "sei rimasta sola sulla barca, riconosco i segni sulla faccia" (you were left alone on the boat, I recognize the marks on your face). Vorreste che ascoltasse Coraline leggendo "...just a little time, I will be your shield banner or your silver sword" piuttosto che ascoltando il suono delle parole "...solo un po' di tempo, sarò vessillo scudo o la tua spada d'argento"?!
@annarae2396 Жыл бұрын
I agree and suggested maybe he do a read through of the lyrics after listening to the song so people can see his reaction to that as well. We all love Damiano's poetry so much, that is a huge part of their attraction. We want to know he understands why we love the words so much and not just the beautiful tones.

Genuine reaction - one can sense your love for this song... I prefer this version from the same period on Rai2 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bn-WiGaXhLyCq7M You focused on the technical/recording side (probably that's why you've chosen the Radio Italia version) but I prefer the creative side and I wish the short quirkness after minute 2; when that slide is met by a bass harmonic just before Damiano start singing the last verse (probably there is a syncopation between the bass and Damiano too)...maybe an accident? But I wish could be replicated in all their live versions too...I just love it. Then why this song isn't played much live? It's probably one of their best ever.
