Oh my goodness!!! I've watched this video so many times. 2:12 That tiny button nose looks like dad 💙 Haoko to me. A healthy and cute 😍 baby. 0:42. Aw Haoko gently touched babies' back. A proud dad no doubt. Momoko will allow it for a quick minute. Momoko is so non shallant chewing, and holding baby. She's an experienced lovely 🌸 lady wife and mother. 3:50 Riki: 😲 Huh?! Where did that come from? Is it real?! 😂. Haoko absolutely loves his babies. It's only a matter of time before he kidnaps the baby, and runs around the enclosure 🤣. Mom gorillas are extremely protective of their newborn infants because they are so small and fragile. 2:04 Sisters Momoka and Kokomo want to see their new sibling up close too. The girls are getting a valuable lesson on how to care for their potential newborn infants when they become 🌸 mothers 😌.

So adorable. Daddy seems so in Aw of his new Baby. So sad Mommy got sick and the staff had to take baby away to feed her. Now she’s back with her family. UPDATE 2nd June: Momoko gave birth on May 31 at the Ueno Zoo, but it could not be confirmed that she was nursing her baby, so it was said that keeping mother and calf together was dangerous. Currently, both Momoko and her baby are calm. The circumstances that led to this decision: Momoko has had diarrhea and other symptoms since April. Since the birth was scheduled around June, a CT scan, ultrasound, blood, etc., were found under anesthesia on May 18, to confirm the health status of the mother and baby, although it was found that Momoko had severe physiological anemia during her pregnancy, and she believes that this anemia may be due to another reason, not the pregnancy itself. Because Momoko was energetic and eating well, it was found that she could give birth naturally and preparations were proceeded while she took medication. On May 31st even after giving birth, Momoko was holding her baby firmly. However, she was not seen nursing even at noon on June 2, and the baby was already weakened, so they decided to anesthetize Momoko and separate mother and baby. When the vet picked up the baby, it was provided that when she went to the mouth to the nipple of Momoko who was asleep under anesthesia, the baby suckled on her own and drank breast milk. After that, She was able to drink Momoko's ordered milk with a bottle and the baby looked perfectly fine. However, they decided that Momoko in her current state couldn't breed, so they had no choice but to switch to bottle feeding. Currently, the baby girl is in the incubator and is stable. As of June 3, they plan to carry out artificial feeding, paying attention to maintaining as much contact as possible with the herd. They believe that the reason why Momoko, who has been breeding four times so far, does not breastfeed because of her health condition before giving birth. They have been carefully following Momoko's pregnancy and delivery with the cooperation and advice of an obstetrician and a gynecologist, and will continue to investigate the cause through ongoing examinations and treatment of anemia with medication. .. At the same time, they will carefully consider when to return the baby to Momoko while assessing her future health condition. The weight of the baby when separated from its mother was 1720 g, and the sex was found to be female.

I Wonder if Father knew his wife was not well and if he’s being so protective because he knows something isn’t right. We know that after this video that mom got infection and Zoo staff had to take baby and feed her cause mom got sick. Now she’s back with Mom but Mom’s Milk is dry . So staff still feeding her. ❤❤❤❤❤

Even if momoko was completely well after birth, the stress of the (understandable) family’s crowding around mom in loving curiosity Must have tipped the scale when decision to separate was made . I appreciate those posted updates from Raquel …..even more i appreciate the fact that i was spared the kind of stress that poor haoko must have endured and can be witness to the happy outcome named sumomo
