I lost half of my drill plans and real life sanity on this stage. After seeing this, I tried adapting it but lost the other half of my sanity. So I ended up using 4 vanguards at the start just to get quick DP, then everything was golden. Thanks for guide as always!

When I clear a hard stage by myself it feels so fulfilling but when you have small brain it tends to be very frustrating, so I give in and search how to do it which is makes me feel empty. Anyways Thank you so much KyoStinV for this wonderful tutorial it helped me alot

For those who use Ayerscarpe instead of Midnight, remember to pick his S2 and not his S1. Without his S2 Ayerscarpe can't kill this enemy who escapes your rightwards defender. This happened to me... Edit : thanks kyo for your awesome guides. I can't clear anything by myself, lmao

Those drones gave me ptsd, I literally had no good snipers. Never have I been this destroyed in Arknights, it even took me 10 games or so after this tutorial... and to think that I need to push onwards to S5-9 Edit: lmao 2 months later, all stages completed at lvl *69*… now I have 12 compared to my 0 e2 when I completed this. And the ex was easy too with Ash… time sure flies eh

The funny thing about this stage is, I actually managed to clear it in Practice using only 3 drill plans (and 1 of them was only because I brought the wrong Lapp skill for my formation), then I went to normal mode and now suddenly the Spec Ops soldier went past Lappland while Meteor got sniped by a drone. After wasting 7 Sanity retrying the stage, I just throw up my arms and go to YT lmao Fun fact: I actually managed to clear the infamous 5-7 before I attempted this Stage, and that one was even without a guide. I was actually surprised when I saw the stage guide for 5-7 had 100k+ views in Kyo's channel, because I thought it was just okay. All in all, thanks for the guide as usual! -(I still can't believe I looked up guides for a Side stage though)-

Interestingly enough, because I had a pretty lethal combo on the left (Kroos + Exusiai) I ended up placing down Melantha instead of ranger after retreating Amiya, because I lacked a good arts damage long reach melee unit (neglected to put levels in one :( ) so I used Melantha to help polish off the left over enemies Edit: I had to place Ranger later because of Exusiai's skill cooldown, didn't level her enough, but Melantha is a good bandaid type solution if you want to deal with a couple enemies that leaked through your defensive line on the right. SilverAsh is sort of good at substituting for Midnight, but he lacks the arts damage, which inevitably causes that leaking problem.

For those having problem: Switch melantha! To robot (lancet 2) put it in the hibiscus place just to bait drone and put the ranger to kill at least 2 pesky drone who just fly away and then retire him to deploy hibis. I have tried so many Times if you are like me who have around level 40 units, then follow this advice trust me you must or you just gonna let 1 drone loose...

I couldn't do this for the longest time since I had other characters that I was training up, so I couldn't use Midnight and couldn't kill the drones. I found a cheap replacement in Ifrit that I got up to snuff for Annihilation 3.

This stage is so much harder than 5-7 in my opinion like I spent half a week on this stage and half a month farming mats to lvl up operators I'm using in this stage and I still couldn't clear it, while 5-7 just took 10 minutes for me to figure out how to clear it.

Erick S. Kennedy I tried all strats and it wouldn’t work because Midnight is the dps for that side, but the healer is there to pull aggro off of him so there’s constant dps on both sides. I gave up and just levelled him up. Switching the healer onto the tile on the left means the sniper is just going to die since they’ll be focused by the drone on the right, and I can’t put another healer down cause that would eat Midnight’s slot..
