The Sami are the indigenous people of Norway, Sweden, Finland and a small part of Russia

Their ancestors has been there since the last Ice Age, before any borders, and being colonized, and forcly assimilated by the Norwegian, Swedish, and Russian states, and governments. They are actually the only indigenous people in whole of Europe. But their homelands are in Northern Scandinavia. Jon is actually of Native American decent adopted from Colombia, and grew up in Sweden to a Southern Saami reindeer gerding family. He has experienced a lot of bullying and racism for being brown, and also Saami. As anywhere else the indigenous people experience racism, discrimination, and hate crimes by the majorty society due to their ancient ties and rights tot he land, that of course others wants.
