This is story of great poet Kalidasa. The kalidasa(Dr.Raj), before he became Kalidasa.. was shepherd living in mountains,who was very innocent, guy who looks like a dumb 2 world. He has got married 2 queen by trick by her own minister as a revenge. The queen was got dishearted when she realized this n she took d Shepard/ her husband to parvati/kali Temple. And she was unconsious.. There the Shepherd gets realization (conscious awakenesss; n hence such ecstatic expression from Annavru).. And he got exposure 2 various manifestation of goddesses and he praises her in ecstasy.. He becomes Kalidasa from there on and creates history..

Let me tell you some behind scenes which we were told when we were kids. (I was not even born when the movie released) 1: Whenever there was a scene where Rajkumar had to touch the feet of Goddess, Nalini mam stepped behind as she was not really happy or okay for Rajkumar touching her feet. It almost took 20-30 takes. This was told by Renuka Sharma (Director). 2: In one particular scene, Rajkumar sleeps putting his whole head on Nalini mam's feet and in that scene, Nalini mam was in tears after the shot was taken (Director revealed) 3: This movie has the two extreme sides of Rajkumar sir, one being an innocent, zero knowledge of the world, an illiterate shepherd man. The other is the opposite of it. Highly knowledgeable, total dignified and peak of talent in literature and poems.
