M Performance Steering Wheel F90 M5

Hi there, I just installed the CS steering wheel with the carbon fibre trim, but the horn has become really hard to press due to the thickness of the carbon trim. Is this normal, or has my service centre installed it incorrectly? It's very, very hard to press the horn now. Any input would be appreciated!

What’s the part number on the trim? Haven’t seen one in alcantara with the heated steering wheel button.

Thanks for the reply! The part number is 32302459669, and mine is the CS steering wheel without the heating option, I got it ordered and fixed by the bmw guys, and they are saying that the trim is too thick and the reason for the horn being hard, but it makes zero sense for a part to be designed like that, especially from bmw, I feel they have no idea, and thinking of taking to an outside garage, and if I do, does the car need any coding every time they remove the airbag that helps not pop any errors after fixing it back?

⁠hey sorry the trim question was for the OP @SVBimmer As far as your wheel I would just do it yourself. It’s super easy and tons of videos on how to do it and what tools you need which is really just a pick, Torx screw driver with bits from T10-25. Hex nut for the wheel nut. If it’s not fitting right they are installing it wrong or something is binding up. Doesnt sound like a reputable shop.
