In this episode of #kitabibaatein we have discussed Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad’s story through her autobiographical book, “The Last Girl. Lately, there was a controversy about the film, 'The Kerela Story' the authenticity of the movie remain in question. However, we have a true story in today’s episode. Twenty-one-year-old Nadia Murad and other young women were abducted and held as sex slaves. Nadia was raped and threatened with execution unless she converted to the IS version of Islam. She was brutally raped and torchered by ISIS. How she saved herself has been revealed in this video.
In 2016, she was appointed the United Nations’ first Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking. She was conferred the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018.
