I saw the NYE show in 1984 I think. Donnie Iris was the opening band. We drove in from Pittsburgh, three of us... in a two seater. The guy in the hatch was trying to keep four pitchers of beer from spilling. We left him at the Coliseum. I don’t know if he ever made it home. Fun times, great band. They should have been famous. I saw the band on another NYE at the Front Row. Again I saw them for some odd reason at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh on NYE 1982 and the next night at Richfield. Strange how they were not at home on NYE.

I was at one of the New Year's Eve Coliseum concerts, but probably not that one, I don't remember him getting all of those people up on stage for the one I was at. Stanley did have his twin daughters (the two little girls up there at the end) sitting at the edge of the stage for the show. Too bad they didn't have Viagra back then, the band could have had a hell of a great NYE with all of those girls primed and ready to go after the show! MSB holds (or held) the attendance records for both the Richfield Coliseum and Blossom Music Center. Good times! Anyone have a bootleg tape from the Buzzard Day Cleveland Agora Coffee Break Concert they did on 'MMS in '83? I wore mine out about 15 years ago.

Saw a NYEve show at Richfield, but they were not the headliners. They were the opening act for Todd Rundgren and UTOPIA, another great band - not from Cleveland, but Cleveland became their 'home away from home'. That Todd/MSB show was NYE 1977. (or 79')... Great show, what an unbelievable double bill....
