They can withstand storms, but they cannot withstand rogue waves. There's been plenty of cases where ships have been rendered unable to maneuver because a rogue wave smashed through the bridge windows and destroyed all the equipment.

They do, but the superstructure of them is actually fairly lightweight, all the heavy machinery is low down as well as water ballast, so they appear more top heavy than they actually are.

The pressure of that sea would cause a retrain reaction to the windows causing it to shatter but a normal window can only withstand 35 pounds of pressure while a boat window is much more safer it can withstand 50 pounds of pressure or 60🤓
