And my day passes on peacefully! During night time I hear to Ammas's rendition like Meera Bhajans etc., My night passes peacefully!! Amma you are chosen by the Goddess Saraswathi to sing and bring peace to mankind!! I am happy for being born as human just because I can hear to her divine voice!!

Better not to compare legends. Still it is a human propensity to compare and the same mindset leads to comparison even between God... I Shiva or Krishna /shiva or Rama and so forth. There can't be any doubt regarding the greatness of MS Subbulakshmi but her genre is different from that of Lataji. Keeping aside her immortal movie numbers, one feels that Lataji's bhajans and devotional songs alone are enough to show her greatness.

MS Amma has also sung for films, so don't try to insult Lata Maai just because she sang film songs. Lata Maai was also a distinguished Hindustani Classical trained singer and has sung many hymns and devotional songs. She only had to get into the film industry because of the death of her father.
