I personally got into them through "Bat Country" on the EA NHL Sountrack (back when the games were actually good), and initially I HATED the song. Fast Forward and A7X became the first band I was really into in a long time that actually sang and didn't scream/growl all the time. Still one of my most listened bands to this day, and apart from The Self-Titled and Nightmare it always took me a while to get into their albums, but I loved them even more afterwards. HTTK was such a disappointment to me I remember. I wanted fast paced songs, crazy drumming and guitars. Years later I love these songs for driving like a maniac virtually xD

I remember playing Most Wanted 05 and i listened to Blinded In Chains and man i turned off everything but Blinded In Chain’s and listened to it on repeat while racing just a core memory for me. 1000% agree. Sounding the seventh trumpet, waking the fallen and city of evil are what made A7x. Since jimmy its been experiment after experiment. If they truly cant do the range they use to have then they are just another rock band now. Shattered by broken dreams is still one of my favorite songs but man city of evil just flows from start to finish so smoothly.
