Beautiful, really love the consistent movement in this, impossible not to tap your foot. Your arrangement with the lap steel, percussion, etc, is spot on. Thanks Martin, always inspiring!

The tuning for this one is, to put it in an easy way, DADGAD with the two lowest strings tuned down a full step: CGDGAD. Here I use a Light Medium set from Elixir, 012-056.
@tallstrom8 жыл бұрын
+Martin Tallstrom A medium 013-056 would´ve worked maybe even better...

+Martin Tallstrom Amazing that you use a thick heavy string,i use 10-46 on all my guitars,my hummingbird was bowing and hair line crack with 12s
@tallstrom8 жыл бұрын
+Chris Burgarella Legacy Interesting... Well, better safe than sorry, I guess :) This is however a very low tuning, low C on the E-string is baritone low! And the Åstrand necks are graphite reinforced.

Yet another impecable performance. The flow of the notes and repetition of the passages recalls something... the coming of Spring or Summer, as you said. To think that I never heard of this song... and there are several covers on KZbin. Being a variation on DADGAD (Pierre Bensusan's favorite tuning) it's bound to be inspiring. This time I will say something: I always spot and like the way you put your capo (like Tony Rice and some few others) while some well-known and acclaimed guitarists use heavy spring capos installed just in the middle of the fret or slanted, and they claim that the tuning should be lowered some cents on the low strings, as to compensate the raising effect of the capo... (?).

I liked Martins early guitar work very much, but I think this is overproduced en just to much. It's moving away from the naturel guitar sound to much for me
@tallstrom8 жыл бұрын
+Arie van de Wetering It might be... However, I just love (over)producing, I´m actually holding back here ;) I´ll probably do some more solo acoustic stuff in the future. Cheers
