I don't think this will look bad, you can simply get all the required documents which prove that the instruments came in late. Also try to establish this fact in interviews if people ask you about extension

Yes you will. Your B-Tech project won't be of much relevance if you can get into M-tech and then do great in M-Tech project

Sir , you are doing typical mouth feeding ,Indian style. At M . Tch level they should be able to do bit of look around. The fact that B .Tech final student burnt the instrument is just un digestable. You engineers seek salary in lakhs. When you mention it in public domain it raises issue, why engineers of non IIT are punished for life with non survival salaries? Why not one profession, one salary? At least make statement, what is minimum salary, for a graduate engineer! Make an encouraging statment to become a employer and not a employee , creating opportunities for fellow Indians, for you had opportunity to study in countries prime institute. Let your basics provide , bread to less fortunate. Good luck.
