Louis David Riel is my eighth cousin once removed , we share a common Grandmother Marie Margurite Marsolet born in 1638 Quebec Marie was my seventh great grandmother . Proud to have a connection through blood to this great man of principal . My mother's mother was French Acadia and Quebec her name was Ida Qunitin .

Hello in doing research on Family Search I connected to Louis Riel. Our common ancestor is Jean Baptiste Riel L'Irelande. I don't claim Metis. I've found some interesting family history following my grandfather's line back to Quebec. Louis's life was fascinating. Thanks for posting this video. We are 5th cousins twice removed.
